We are an Urban Mushroom Farm located in the Blue Mountains @ 912 metres above sea level at Wentworth Falls.

We grow mushrooms from spent coffee grounds, spray free and no chemicals. Mushrooms that we produce are Pearl oyster, Elm oyster, King oyster and Pink oyster. We also grow medicinal mushrooms like Reishi and many others in the near future.

Richmond Good Food Market

Find us at the Markets

We love a good local market and more importantly we love to meet people and talk about our products in person.

Each month on the weekends you will find us at a local market ready to offer you our famous mushroom broths, fresh gourmet mushrooms and organic health products that your body will thank you for.

Pine Mushroom Foraging Tours

Join us for a Pine Mushroom Foraging Tour in the Hampton State Forest just beyond the lovely Blue Mountains.

You will learn how to identify and collect edible mushrooms, process them to cook a scrumptious lunch and see how to preserve the bounty. Your guide will teach you how to safely recognise and pick them and also share some special cooking tips.

The beauty of growing mushrooms on fresh coffee waste is that the substrate is already pasteurized by the coffee brewing process, so you can bypass the whole pasteurizing step and get straight into the inoculating. Plus, spent coffee grounds are a huge waste resource, and are packed full of nutrients which your Oyster Mushrooms love to grow on.

Coffee grounds are rich in nutrients, but can contaminate easily. Corrugated cardboard is not as rich and delicious to competing molds and bacteria, and the corrugation allows room for air and for the mycelium (mushroom roots) to run.
